60 Simple Ways To Show Your Love For Singapore (Even If You Complain About It Daily)

As Singapore celebrates its 60th birthday this year, we've been reflecting on how much we’ve gained from calling this island home - from late-night suppers at the prata shop, to world-class public transportation, and a sense of safety we sometimes take for granted.

In between enjoying all that Singapore has to offer, here are some simple ways to show a little love back - because nothing says “I love you” like owning 20 SG-themed tote bags, taking leave to queue for chicken rice, or bringing visitors to eat durian (even if you don’t).

🇸🇬 Majulah Singapura!

1. Hang a flag outside your flat in August

2. Wear red and white on National Day – bonus points if you can pull of an I ❤️ SG T-shirt

3. Jio your friends to watch NDP fireworks & participate in a National Day singalong, even if it’s just in your living room

4. Rewatch your favourite episode of Phua Chu Kang or Under One Roof

5. Speak in Singlish proudly instead of masking it with an “atas accent”

6. Show our local motifs some love by wearing something with a Singapore-inspired print

7. Host a Singapore-themed movie marathon (Ah Boys To Men viewing party, anyone?)
