Wah, Gahmen Giving Out $100 ActiveSG Credits – Here’s How I’m Gonna Use Them

I’ll be honest - I usually only check ActiveSG to try and book badminton courts, but 9 out of 10 times I’ll kena the “Sorry, all slots are full” message. Also, the balloting system feels like buying Toto sometimes.

So when I heard that the gahmen is giving out $100 ActiveSG credits to all Singapore Citizens and PRs for SG60, I thought, eh okay, maybe I can try something else. And after scrolling through the website, I realised there are A LOT of activities you can do. Honestly, I’m quite impressed. It’s not just your good ol’ gymming and swimming. There’s a whole fitness playground out there across Singapore.

And if you’re new to ActiveSG, swee lah - you’ll get another $100 on top of the SG60 credit. You just need to log in anytime before 31 December 2025.

Here’s how I’m planning to use them to explore workouts I’ve never tried before:

Touch water a bit (swim pass FTW)

I love swimming (mainly because it’s the only sport I can do without sweating buckets, and it’s easy on your knees), so the first thing I’m doing is booking a swim pass. It's only $1 per entry or $10 for 30 days unlimited. Plus, if you’re a parent, you’ll be happy to know that kids’ entry at some pools is less than $1. Bring the whole fam - water slides, lazy rivers, splash zones…all for cheap-cheap.

Gym a bit, flex a lot

I’ve been meaning to look for other gym spots away from the CBD, and this $100 is the catalyst I needed. Daily gym entry is $2.50, or you can go for 30-day, 180-day or 1-year passes.

Pro tip: Go off-peak (Mon–Fri, 7am–4pm) as the rates can be like half price (lunchtime gym sesh, am I right?). If I play my cards right, I can go to the gym for a few months without even forking out my own money.

Book courts, jio my kakis

Another thing I’m super excited about is booking sports facilities using the credits. Me and my friends are already planning to:

  • Play badminton at our usual ActiveSG hall
  • Try out pickleball and find out why it’s so popular (better late than never!)
  • Maybe even test out beach volleyball at Yio Chu Kang (and get some Vitamin D in the process)

There are even obscure sports like pétanque (how to pronounce sia) that you can book venues for. I say: try something new. It’s technically free of charge!

Try weird-sounding fitness programmes

Ngl, this part was an unexpected rabbit hole. The number of fitness classes you can use your credits on is... crazy. There are more than 70 different workouts to choose from. Here are some I’ve already bookmarked:

  • Aqua Tabata: HIIT workouts in the pool? Can’t say no to low impact but high burn.
  • Piloxing (aka Standing Pilates): When you can’t choose between pilates, boxing and dance workouts.
  • Trampoline workouts: Jumping on a mini trampoline to lose weight and stress? Yes please.
  • Yoga: Always a yes for me. Goodbye, muscle tension.
  • Pickleball classes: Enough said.

The best part? The programme listings tell you how intense each activity is so you can choose whether you want a chill workout or a sweat fest. You can also filter the programme closest to you - the more niche classes can be quite far away so it depends if the long bus ride is worth it.

No rush, can roll over

If you’re like me and life gets in the way, here’s the good news: any unused credits will be automatically extended till 31 Dec 2026. If you make just one transaction in 2026 (even for a free programme), your credits will then be rolled over to 2027.
