I Lost A Son, I am Raising A Daughter With Down Syndrome - And I Found Peace On A Mushroom Farm.

Mushroom Buddies began in 2921 when 10 parents set out to create meaningful work for youth with special needs.

My joy comes from watching more than 40 volunteers work so seamlessly with our staff at the mushroom farm.

With a bit more patience and kindness, we can find tasks they do well.

Holding back taught her so much about herself.

Helping one person might not change the whole world, but it could change the world for one person.

I'm not a farmer, but after 4 years, I've learnt that mushrooms talk to each other.

Beyond growing mushrooms, we run farm tours, workshops and a farmer's market.
